Fall 2023 Academic Resilience I Requirements
These requirements are designed to provide intentional semester-long support to the following students:
Students who are in University College (undeclared majors) and
- are in their first term of academic probation
or - have successfully appealed academic suspension
are required to participate in Academic Resilience I.
Option 1
Step 1: Attend Advising Appointment
Complete required advising by Friday, August 25
- schedule an appointment
- visit during drop-in hours
Step 2: Attend Academic Success Workshop
Attend required Academic Success Workshop. This workshop is designed to teach strategies for studying, time management and effective use of campus resources. Workshops are in-person and last for 60 minutes.
Workshops will be held from Monday, August 21 - Friday, September 1
Step 3: Attend Three Academic Success Coaching Appointments
Academic Resilience I requires that students attend 3 Academic Success Coaching appointments. Academic Success Coaches support students in one-on-one appointments to develop the soft skills it takes to be successful in college, such as time management, organization, study skills, and more.
- Appointment 1: Available between Monday, August 28 - Friday, September 29
- Appointment 2: Available between Monday, October 2 - Friday, October 27
- Appointment 3: Available between Monday, October 30 - Friday, December 1

Take Course US 1002 Academic Strategies
You may choose to fulfill your requirements by registering for US 1002 Academic Strategies and successfully completing the course with a C- or higher.
Failure to complete these requirements will result in a hold which prevents you from registering for future classes.
