Early Progress Reports (EPR) and Midterm Grade Reports (MGR) provide a means for connecting students with the support and resources they may need early in the semester.
Early Progress Reports
Early Progress Reports (EPRs) provide a snapshot of a student's academic progress and engagement in the first few weeks of the semester and help students who may be experiencing difficulties, having low levels of engagement, attendance issues, or could simply benefit from some additional support.
Early Progress Reports reports can be submitted by faculty between Week 3 and Week 5 of the semester.
Once an Early Progress Report has been submitted, the following will happen:
- Students will be notified via email that the EPR has been submitted
- Students will be connected with a personalized support team to help them achieve success in their course together
- Students will be added to the Midterm Grade Report list to receive feedback from their other instructors
Midterm Grade Reports
Midterm Grade Reports (MGRs) are a mechanism for collecting faculty feedback at the midpoint of the semester. This feedback serves as a means for offering targeted support, encouragement, or improvement strategies for students who may be struggling.
Midterm Grade Reports can be submitted by faculty between Week 7 and Week 10 of the semester.
Once a Midterm Grade Report has been submitted, the following will happen:
- The student will be notified via email that the MGR has been submitted
- The student's advisor will be notified that the MGR has been submitted and may have received additional written comments from the instructor. Students are encouraged to reach out to their advisor if they have questions or concerns regarding this information
