- In-Person and On-line sessions continue to be available. Scheduling a session is as close as your laptop! 1) Appointment based sessions are scheduled by students via their TutorTrac account, and sessions will also be one-time-only in status. This allows students to attend on an "as needed" basis. Students who want consecutive weekly sessions must actively schedule each one as desired. If you want assistance, UTS Lab managers can guide you through the scheduling procedures in person at the UTS lab in Room 208 D. D. Dougherty Hall. 2) In addition to in-person sessions held in the UTS Lab, all tutors offer at least 2 hours of online tutoring options via the Appstate supported ZOOM interface. This software has been piloted at Appstate for several years now and has proven to be a stable and easy-to-use interface for remote meetings. Lab Managers or tutors will also guide students in how to connect online for their sessions, and the software can be easily accessible from a laptop, iPad type device, and works very well on the ZOOM Application for smartphones also. - Severe Weather Closing Notices - Even with winter weather on the wane, hazards can present via weather of a different nature as the seasons change. Please be aware that all Student Learning Center tutoring services abide by Appalachian weather closure policies, and services will be canceled or delayed accordingly in the event of such University safety-related decisions.
- If you have specific scheduling requests/considerations that can not be met via Tutortrac, please visit the UTS Lab (208, DD Dougherty Hall) in person during our posted hours of operation.
