Announcements and Operational Notices

  • We have just passed the mid-semester hashmark (October 9th) and this finds many of our support resources quite busy. This does not imply, however, that it is too late to seek tutoring support. All of our drop-in help labs and LEAD tutoring (for Chemistry) are providing nightly sessions with no need for an appointment. Check the LEAD Tutoring page for specifics about when your sessions meet if LEAD is offered for your course.  Friday, November 9th at 5:00pm will be the last day to seek appointment based tutoring in the UTS Lab. You may still use any of the non-appointment tutoring resources up until the final day of classes. Inquire about assistance options if you need them, and prepare yourself for a strong finale for the Fall 2018 semester!
  • Welcome to Fall 2018 Mountaineers! We are busy in Tutoring Services preparing so that we may provide you with academic support in many Core Curriculum (freshman-sophomore level) subjects. You may begin inquiring about tutoring options and actually completing request forms (in person) in the UTS Lab, Rm. 208 D. D. Dougherty Hall, on the first day of classes, Tuesday, August 21st. The first week of classes is devoted to Start-Up Training sessions for our committed tutors who are student employees. We will schedule sessions to begin with tutors starting on the following Tuesday, August 28th.  If you have questions, call (828) 262-3060 between the hours of 9am-8pm Monday through Thursday (9am-5pm on Fridays), or email apputs@appstate.edu . We look forward to being a part of your academic success and study strategies for 2018-2019! Best wishes for a successful start-up.
