Julianna Roupas

I am an Exercise Science major and a Spanish minor with plans to attend medical school after graduating in May of 2021. I am a member of the University Honors Program as well as the Exercise Science Departmental honors program, which has lead to my involvement with research in Appalachian's Integrative Muscle and Physiology Lab. I am also an active member of Phi Chi Pre-medical and Pre-dental Society and Kappa Delta sorority. Beginning in Fall 2018, I worked for the Student Learning Center as a tutor for Math, Biology, Chemistry, and Spanish. The following semester, Spring 2019, I started working as a manager at the center and now coordinate the CRLA certification program. I feel very strongly about helping others achieve their full potential, and I believe that is most effectively accomplished in the classroom when students are assisting each other. I have also carried this passion off campus to organizations like the Community Care Clinic, Hospitality House, and Mountain alliance, where I enjoy volunteering and connecting with members of the surrounding community. In the future, I hope to continue helping others with a career as a medical doctor.
